Tania & Emon’s Anniversary Session at The Aldredge House

During the hot summer months in Dallas, Texas, we usually have to move our photography sessions indoors because sweat & red faces just isn’t romantic. (I mean, do you really want to get all snuggly with your beau when it’s 100 degrees outside? Yeah, me neither.) One of my favorite indoor locations is a gorgeous vintage 1920’s home built specifically as a wedding venue right in the heart of Dallas on Swiss Avenue called Aldredge House.

So, when Tania reached out to me to document their anniversary session when the temperatures were pushing the high 90’s, one of the indoor locations I suggested was the Aldredge House and I’m happy to say they were pleased with their choice. Here are just a few images from their session:

Family & Maternity Session at White Rock Lake

I’m a bit late in posting my spring & summer photography sessions as work and life have been SO hectic, but I’m pleased to admit that no one’s turnaround time for receiving their images have suffered – only my little blog!

With that being said, there’s no greater honor than my couples returning to me time and again for their milestone sessions; from engagement, boudoir, bridal, wedding, and on.. We decided to combine some family portraits along with some maternity photos and do a mix of candid and traditional pictures. As for the  location, we had shot their engagement session in the fall several years ago at White Rock Lake in Dallas, Texas and, knowing that the wildflowers would be blooming, it was an obvious choice for sentimental value along with natural beauty. We were also fortunate to have gorgeous, fluffy clouds for our backdrop which gave us a pretty epic sunset. I hope you enjoy!

Shanna & Brandon – Maternity Photography

There is no bigger honor than receiving a request from a past bride & groom to document their maternity session. When I documented Shanna & Brandon’s wedding almost 5 years ago, I was around 36 – 37 weeks pregnant (we had a back up plan in case my little one arrived early) and their wedding was spectacular! Their love for each other was evident from the moment I met them and I can’t tell you how thrilled I am to see these two still in love and still able to make each other (and me!) laugh. Congratulations on your little one, Shanna & Brandon! I’m so happy for you guys!

Autumn, Chris, and Paul

Autumn is one of my oldest and dearest friends and I haven’t taken her picture in YEARS. Yep. That’s just the kinda friend I am. I used to drag her all over the place and make her pose, and wear strange clothes, and put on crazy make up, and do all the things that college kids majoring in photography convince their friend’s to do under the guise of “it’ll be fun!!!!”… BUT! We’re both grown up and and now she has one of the cutest and sweetest little boys EVER and one of the coolest soon-to-be-hubby EVER. I LOVE these guys so much and I can’t wait until I have time to drag them out, again!
