Family & Maternity Session at White Rock Lake

I’m a bit late in posting my spring & summer photography sessions as work and life have been SO hectic, but I’m pleased to admit that no one’s turnaround time for receiving their images have suffered – only my little blog!

With that being said, there’s no greater honor than my couples returning to me time and again for their milestone sessions; from engagement, boudoir, bridal, wedding, and on.. We decided to combine some family portraits along with some maternity photos and do a mix of candid and traditional pictures. As for the  location, we had shot their engagement session in the fall several years ago at White Rock Lake in Dallas, Texas and, knowing that the wildflowers would be blooming, it was an obvious choice for sentimental value along with natural beauty. We were also fortunate to have gorgeous, fluffy clouds for our backdrop which gave us a pretty epic sunset. I hope you enjoy!

Jessica + Mark – Dallas Arboretum Engagement Session

Jessica & Mark are such a fantastic couple and I’m so honored to be documenting their wedding adventure! We decided to shoot their engagement session mainly at the Dallas Arboretum, because it’s gorgeous and the lighting is perfect at this time of year. Even better, they included their two adorable fur-babies in part of their session! They totally made my day! Congratulations, Jessica & Mark!

Vanessa & Richard – Dallas Engagement Session

First off, could Vanessa & Richard be any more adorable? I mean, seriously….! We decided to start their session off at Klyde Warren Park in downtown Dallas (which is where Richard proposed to Vanessa!). After a while, we moved over to White Rock Lake for a few minutes before a surprise storm rained us out. Fortunately, we were able to wrap up our session the next day which wound up giving us fantastic weather!

Congratulations, Vanessa & Richard on your engagement! I wish you both all the love and happiness possible!

Engagement Portraits with Raechel & Angus

It’s really rare that I will book a couple without first meeting both the bride & groom in person. It’s very important that we share a good connection, our personalities mesh well, and that we have similar style (photographically speaking) & expectations for the Big Day. After meeting Raechel at the Dallas Bridal Show, I knew I had found a special couple. I just adore these two! They (probably politely) laughed at my really lame jokes and were both adventurous enough to do whatever craziness I asked of them! I’m so excited to be documenting their wedding this September at The Room on Main!
