This is a rare pair of Saarinen Executive Chairs, Model 68 UPC, originally designed by Eero Saarinen for Knoll in 1950. These examples date to the 1960s. The listed price includes the pair. They have many of the features of the more commonly seen Model 71A, only this silhouette omits the back vent. They feature legs of chromed tubular steel, and they have an upholstered seat and back. They retains their original yellow hopsack fabric upholstery.
Each chair measures 24.25 inches long, 26 inches wide, and 31.5 inches high. They have an 18 inch seat height, and a 25 inch arm height. The upholstery on these is original and shows some wear, though is in relatively good condition. The foam is still quite soft, and there are a few marks on the fabric. The tops of the arms show fading and signs of use. The bases have a few errant scratches, but present nicely. Overall, these chairs are in very good condition with some wear. Please see photos.
